Drugs ring leader sentenced to 18 years in prison

Alan Kent QC and Abigail Husbands successfully prosecuted 5 men at Maidstone Crown Court for a conspiracy to supply cocaine. The defendants smuggled the drugs into the UK at night on board Rigid-hulled inflatable boats. The men undertook a number of separate trips, bringing in thousands of pounds worth of cocaine. The defendants were sentenced to a total of 54 years imprisonment, with the main defendant receiving 18 years.
