Former international showjumper jailed for injuring cyclist

Christopher Robertson, a former international show jumper and son of wealthy stud farm owners, was sentenced to 33 months in prison after deliberately driving his car into a cyclist because he was taking up too much road. Prosecuted by Robin Sellers (pictured), Mr Robertson left the cyclist for dead and attempted to cover his tracks by hosing down his car, replacing the damaged number plate and ordering a junior colleague to remove police notices appealing for witnesses.
